1. The service

Iraya Books, a service provided by Norelyn Galindez, creates personalised illustrated children's books from the photos and details you provide. Before confirming your order you can see a preview of the characters and the cover. Every book is checked by hand before it is delivered. The person responsible is a natural person resident in Spain; her tax identification number is not published on this website and is provided in writing to anyone who needs it (for example, for a complaint or to exercise a right) via the contact email in section 8.

2. Price and payment

The price of the first book is €39.99; additional books in the same order are €29.99. Delivery costs €4.99 to anywhere in Spain, whatever the delivery address, and is shown before you confirm. Delivery is free when the value of the books in the order reaches €50 (not counting delivery costs). Prices include VAT.

Payment method and when you are charged. Orders are paid by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard) and, if your device supports it, by Apple Pay or Google Pay, through our payment provider Stripe; Iraya Books never sees or stores your card details. The full amount —books plus delivery costs— is charged in full when you confirm the order, before production begins. When you confirm, you will receive an email with your order number and a breakdown of what you have paid.

Invoice. Your invoice is made available to you through a link in your order email, from which you can download it as a PDF whenever you like. By accepting these terms you agree to receive it in this way, in electronic format.

3. Delivery

The hardback printed book is produced to order and usually arrives within 7 to 9 working days on the Spanish mainland (a little longer to the Balearic and Canary Islands) at the address you give us; the delivery time is also shown at checkout before you pay. We keep you updated by email at every step (order confirmed, sent to the printer and shipment tracking).

4. Right of withdrawal

As this is a fully personalised product, made to your specifications, the ordinary 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (art. 103.c of RDL 1/2007, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the Spanish consumer protection act): once you confirm your order you cannot withdraw from it, because the book is made for you alone. However, if the book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, we will reprint it and send it again at no cost (see Delivery and returns).

Quality guarantee for the code GRACIAS30 (October 2026): if, on receiving the book, you do not feel it has the quality you expected, write to us within the following 14 days and we will refund the amount paid; there is no need to return the book.

“We'll redo it for free” guarantee. If you don't like how your book has turned out, we will redo it at no cost once per order, before it is printed. To request this, reply to the order confirmation email while the book has not yet been sent to the printer (we let you know by email when it is). We redo it with another photo you send us or with the adjustments you tell us (for example the likeness, the hair or the dedication) and we do not send it to print until you confirm that you like it. Once printed, the guarantee for damage and printing defects in this section applies.

5. Who can use the service: people aged 18 or over

Iraya Books is a service intended exclusively for adults. To create a preview, place an order or use any other part of the service you must be aged 18 or over and act as the parent or legal guardian of the child who appears in the photo (or have their express authorisation). The stories are for children, but the person who contracts, pays and accepts these terms is always an adult, who also gives consent on behalf of the child.

People under 18 may not use the service or place orders. By ticking the consent box before creating the preview, you confirm that you are of legal age. If we find that an order has been placed by a minor, we will cancel it and refund it in full.

6. Photos, minors and acceptable use

The original photo you upload is used to create the characters in the book and is kept for a maximum of 30 days to check that the character looks like your child and to correct it if not. After that it is deleted automatically, or sooner if you ask. We do not use it to train models or share it; the artificial intelligence providers that draw the characters (Microsoft and Google) may temporarily retain samples for abuse review in accordance with their own terms, and do not use them for any other purpose or to train their models. The generated illustrations (the character portrait, the cover and the book PDF) are kept in private storage for a maximum of 2 years —so that we can reprint your book or deal with complaints— and we delete them sooner if you ask us by writing to fernando@irayabooks.com. By using the service you represent and warrant that:

• You are the parent or legal guardian of the child who appears in the photo, or you have the express authorisation of the person who is.
• The photo shows the child dressed, in an everyday situation appropriate for illustrating a children's story.

We reserve the right to reject (automatically or manually) any photo that does not meet these conditions and to cancel the associated orders, with a full refund.

7. Intellectual property

The illustrations in the book are created for you and you may use them for personal and family purposes. The texts, the stories and the brand are the property of Iraya Books.
