A dove leaves a golden invitation from the king on her windowsill: tonight there's a ball at the castle. Your daughter twirls once, twice… and turns into a princess. On her white pony she rides through the village to the castle, where the king is sad: someone has stolen his golden music box, and there are dragon footprints on the floor. She sets a little fox free in the enchanted forest and reaches the cave of Fumarola the dragon… who is crying because nobody ever invites him to dance. She invites him to the ball, they fly back with the music box and Fumarola fills the sky with sugary fireworks. The next morning, beside her pillow, a green and gold scale is shining.

From her window, Lucía could see every day
an enchanted castle on the hill far away.
Over the village a dove flew by
and left a gold envelope — a note from the sky!
“A royal ball tonight! The castle hall
awaits you, Lucía, most special guest of all!”
She twirled and she twirled in a sparkle of gold —
a real princess now, like the stories of old!
At the garden gate stood a pony, pure white,
with a golden mane — she hugged it tight!
She trotted through town, and out came a crowd
to wave and to cheer, oh so loud!
High on the hill, with its towers so grand,
the castle shone bright over all the land.
The king stood waiting, sad as could be:
“Someone stole my golden music box from me!”
No music, no ball! But then, on the ground,
big dragon footprints — that's what she found!
“I'll get it back!” said Lucía, standing tall.
“A brave princess isn't scared at all!”
At dusk she reached the enchanted wood,
where mushrooms glowed as bright as they could.
A little fox was crying, caught in thorns so tight;
Lucía freed him gently, and soon he was all right.
“Follow me!” cried the fox with a leap,
and up the mountain they went — so steep!
At the top was a cave, all smoky and hot,
and inside something snored — it snored a LOT!
“GRRRR!” roared a dragon, enormous and green.
Lucía didn't move — the bravest heart ever seen!
But Fumarola the dragon burst into tears:
“No one's asked me to dance in years…”
Lucía stroked his snout: “Come to the ball with me,
my special guest — what fun it will be!”
She climbed on his back and — WHOOSH! — off they flew,
and soon reached the castle, with the box too!
“A dragon!” cried the people, full of fear —
but he waved a flower and grinned ear to ear!
Lucía gave the king the box of gold,
and merry music rang out, loud and bold.
They danced and danced till they could dance no more:
the dragon spun, stepping on toes galore!
Then Fumarola puffed his fire up high,
and caramel fireworks lit up the sky!
On the balcony Lucía watched the bright display.
“Thank you, brave princess!” she heard the king say.
Late at night Fumarola flew her home, soft and slow,
with the pony and the little fox trotting below.
Ready for bed, she put her tiara aside.
“Was it all a dream?” she wondered, and sighed.
But outside her window, past the moon so bright,
Fumarola waved to her — what a happy sight!
And next morning, by her pillow, there it lay:
a green and golden scale, bright as day.
Lucía gave a wink and a great big grin:
the next adventure will soon begin!
