From a photo to a character: what makes us different
From one front-facing photo we create an illustrated character that genuinely looks like them, and that same character stars in all 33 pages of the book. You don't choose between five hairstyles and three skin tones: the illustration comes from their face.
That means the result depends on the photo, which is why you see it before you pay. If you're not happy with the likeness, you can try another photo. If you are wondering how this differs from books personalised “with a name”, we explain it in personalised book with your child's face.
How it works in 4 steps
- Choose the book. There are eight: four adventures for children aged 2 to 8, two for siblings aged 2 to 10 and two for babies aged 0 to 1.
- Upload their photo from your phone and type in their name and age.
- In about two minutes you get a free preview of their character and the real cover of the book.
- Order it only if you love it: it costs €39.99. We check it page by page, print it as a hardback and deliver it to your door.
Which photo works (and which doesn't)
You don't need a studio portrait. A phone photo is fine if it ticks these boxes:
- Facing the camera, with both eyes clearly visible.
- Good light: daytime is best, and not against the light.
- No hat, hood or sunglasses: hair counts towards the likeness too.
- In colour and at its original size (not a thumbnail or a screenshot).
Other people can be in the photo: you tell us which one is your little one. Before you pay you see the cover with their face; if you're not happy with it, just change the photo and try another.
Privacy: what we do with the photo
The photo is used only to create their character. We keep it encrypted for a maximum of 30 days to check the likeness, and then it is deleted automatically; if you like, you can ask us to delete it sooner. It is never used to train artificial intelligence. All the details are in our privacy policy.
A real book, not a PDF
You receive a 20×20 cm hardback with 33 illustrated pages, printed to order. It costs €39.99, delivery anywhere in Spain is €4.99 (free when you spend €50 or more on books) and it usually arrives in 7 to 9 working days. It makes a lovely gift for Christmas or Three Kings' Day (6 January), or for a birthday.

Does it really look like them?
In most cases it does, and you check for yourself before paying: you see the character and the cover for free. If you're not happy with it, try another, clearer photo.
Can I use a photo with other people in it?
Yes. If there are several people, you pick your little one in the photo. For the siblings' books, a photo of the two of them together works.
How long does the preview take?
About two minutes. Then, if you order it, the book usually arrives in 7 to 9 working days.
What if I'm not happy with the cover?
Before you pay you see the cover with their face; if you're not happy with it, just change the photo and try another: ideally with more light, the face looking at the camera and no hat. Trying costs nothing.
