Libro Infantil Mágico or IrayaBooks: two ways to make a book with their face

Libro Infantil Mágico and IrayaBooks aren't the same product under a different brand: they start from opposite ideas. One gives you a configurator so the story is written to order on the spot; the other, a story already written and illustrated that your child steps into. We tried its configurator on 8 October 2026 with a photo of Hugo, aged 8, and this is what we found.

Two ways to make a book

Generated on the spot. Libro Infantil Mágico doesn't have stories; it has ingredients. You make your choices and a program writes the story and makes the illustrations from your answers. The result is unique: a story that didn't exist until that moment and which, according to its website, you can read on screen and tweak before printing.

Written and illustrated in advance. At IrayaBooks there are eight finished stories. Every page already has its text, designed to be read aloud, and its approved illustration; with the photo, your child becomes the main character and everything else stays as it is. Here is the same page with two children: the scene, the text and the drawing don't move.

The Libro Infantil Mágico configurator, screen by screen

To get to the book you have to go through these steps:

  1. Age, in four groups, from 0 to 2 years up to over 10.
  2. Theme (fairy tales, adventure, celebrations, family, feelings…) and, within it, a subject: firefighters, dinosaurs, pirates, a superhero.
  3. Core message: friendship, courage, respect, honesty…
  4. Illustration style, out of ten (watercolour, comic, 3D animation, plasticine…), and typeface.
  5. Language, with Catalan, Galician and Valencian as variants of Spanish.
  6. Characters, up to five: a person, an animal or an object, with name, gender, age, hobbies, favourite food and photo.
  7. Special events, author and a prologue you can write with the help of an AI.
  8. Your details and a password to open an account.

That's where the free part ends. For anything to be generated you have to pay for the digital book, €6.99, which is then deducted if you order the hardback: A4 size, 26 pages, €27.99 plus €5.95 delivery, €33.94 in total. Until you make that payment you don't see a single illustration of your child. The third hardback is half price and, according to its terms, there are no refunds.

Which family each one suits

Libro Infantil Mágico suits you if you enjoy deciding every detail, putting the whole family or the pet into the story, or you're after the cheapest hardback. That's where they beat us: they allow up to five characters and their book costs less.

IrayaBooks suits you if what you want is a good story rather than a long form. And for most families, these three things matter more:

  • Seeing it before paying. Their finished cover, with their face, free and within a couple of minutes. With Libro Infantil Mágico you pay €6.99 before you see anything.
  • A story that works read aloud, written and edited with care, not put together on the spot.
  • The same child on every page, because every scene starts from an approved illustration and a person checks the book before it's printed. If there's anything you don't like about how it's turned out, we redo it for free, once.

Two of them? That too: there are stories for two siblings and for a mum and her baby, each with their own photo. And the book comes in Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Galician or English.
